The David Vigo Youth Music Scholarship was established in 2017 to foster and encourage emerging musical talent amongst the youth of the Upper Kiewa Valley, which has a long proud tradition of producing outstanding musical proficiency amongst its youth, and this fund seeks to support that in a small way.

Its primary aim is to provide financial assistance to school-age music students of the Kiewa Valley, to further their development in their chosen field, where they would otherwise be unable to do so. While living in this region has so many wonderful positive effects and benefits, it is often difficult for students to pursue their musical aspirations, as access to opportunities for both education and performance can be limited. Many of the world’s top artists had small beginnings….

David Vigo had a property here in the Kiewa Valley for around 20 years and was a full-time resident for 8 years. His work as a music promoter saw him support numerous musical and comedy acts.
